Frequently Asked Questions
How soon should I book my event cake?
6 months, even a year in advance is never too early! Late spring to early fall is our busiest wedding season (we call it Mayvember) and we book up FAST. The earlier the better but usually once you have a secure day, date, and location that is when you should secure your cake date as well!
Do you have any gluten free/dairy free/vegan items
While we are not a certified gluten free/vegan bakery, we do have many of these items available for pre-orders. We also have an extensive gluten free selection in our cafe cases every day.
How do I secure my date?
A $250 non-refundable deposit is required to save your date. We only take a limited number of cakes each week to ensure each event and wedding gets the attention and detail it deserves. Once the event details are finalized and agreed upon, 50 percent of the total event cost is due with the remainder due 60 days prior to the event.
How close to my event can I adjust my order?
Any changes to the products and/or services ordered must be agreed upon by the final payment date, 60 days prior to the event. Changes requested after this date cannot be guaranteed and are subject to additional charges. Order sizes may never decrease however the possibility exists to increase order sizes up to 14 days prior to events.
Can I schedule a cake tasting?
Absolutely, and it is encouraged! We have multiple tasting options to meet your busy schedules. Tastings can be picked up for $50. For a more intimate experience, an in person tasting appointment with Andrea may be arranged for $150. If you choose to book your event by end of business on the same day as your in person tasting, a $100 credit will be applied to the cost of your event over $500.
Can we use fresh flowers on our cake?
Yes! Ask your florist for cake flowers and we will go over placement. I am a perfectionist so I prefer to arrange the flowers on the cake myself. Fresh flowers are not a food product and may contain pesticides, insects, dirt, or other contaminants. We will wrap each flower stem with floral tape before inserting it into the cake.
